About Raya Trinker

Being the person and also the artist I am, is a reflection of many mirrors. Like most people we acquire many faces, as those when one turns around a cube. I chose Ema T.to carry my signature as an artist (Ema T. Who are you?/at my blog).

It was a challenge for me all through the years to find ways to explore them. Art, I found to become one of their expressions.

Studying anthropology and practicing social work, felt like a huge umbrella, under which I wondered about human kind. 3D in its very physical manner was always the medium I felt comfortable with.

“Raya the inventive” I was nicknamed by the children in our neighborhood. Beside that wild imagination, rich world of associations, curiosity and courage to dream, also failing from time to time, all of which are ingredients in my desire to create.

From my teachers, each of them an expert in his own field I gained a lot. As an artist I search for a way that will allow me to refine pain that goes along with life.

As an Israeli I feel constantly exposed to the dazzling light reflected by the sand, the buildings, the sea, the people around me. The passing of years make this wish even stronger. Japan which I visited few times, it’s culture and art, seems to open different options I would like to absorb into my creativity.

If my art work will initiate thoughts, reflections, it will be as if I touched you.

Isn’t thta what we wish for, to touch and be touched?

Born in Tel Aviv(1950), later on moved to Haifa were I since live with my family.
